National Ladies Day--From Caterpillars to Butterflies
Saturday, October 7th was the National Ladies Day at church. Women from churches all over Santiago and all parts of Chile came for a day devoted to their growth in Christ. The focus was the book of Colossians and how we mature in Christ, using the images of the caterpillar transformed into the butterfly. Tae Perkins was the organizer and leader of the Ladies Day. We had three talk sessions and broke up into small groups after each session. During each small group session, we read a section of Colossians and discussed the applications of maturing in our walks with Christ as sisters, mothers, wives, daughters, aunts, and grandmothers. It was such a blessing to attend with my sister-in-law, Laura! She had arrived just 2 days before! We had a great time meeting members from other congregations and enjoying fellowship with our sisters. Enjoy the pictures below!
God Bless, Amanda
John came to Ladies Day just for the amount of time it took to be in this picture with us! (He was really meeting up with Scott.)
There were about 115 women from all over Chile...one woman was from Puerto Montt, a town very much in the south, over 12 hours by bus!

Me and Laura at the end of a wonderful day!
