A New Sister in Christ

Sunday, July 23rd, Paula Olivarria put on Christ in baptism. She had studied with Denise Dean (missionary) and Ani, the church's custodian. Paula was surrounded by her grandparents, her mother, and her brother, who were there to support her decision.

Paula was one of the first Chileans that we met when we arrived in Santiago back in November. We met her on a Sunday morning in Bible class. She was so patient with our Spanish, and she was able to practice her English with us. She invited us to her house to meet her family and she took us downtown to see some of the tourist sites. In February, we met Paula in Chillan, a town to the south of Santiago, where we hiked and toured the town. Paula is a great tour guide!! It was so special to share in this day! She is a great friend & and sister!
Amanda and Paula at the La Moneda government building back in December (in the summertime). ;-) Mark Dean baptizing Paula. Praise the Lord!
Please be in prayer for Paula, Nicolas, Felipe, and Perla, as they have recently been baptized and need lots of encouragement in their new walks with Christ. Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement! We love and miss yall!! God Bless!
